Some new attempts

Some new attempts,I want to render it a little more realistically

For the metal, did you tried to link roughness with bump texture? Adding ambient occlusion node also could give interesting output.

The roughness and bump texture are related, but no ambient occlusion nodes have been added. I will try again next time. Thank you for your idea

Love the look of the teapot, @Felix!

The surface of the teapot is made of honeycomb nodes and displacement:smiley:

Love the teapot as well! The Vern is too glossy I think. Or it’s a different breed, here some Verns in the garden but they have close to no gloss on their leaves.

Thank you for your likes. I am trying to render leaves, but I can’t do it well.

Hi @Felix,

I don’t blame you Felix, leaves are hard to render. I’m not sure what the best approach is. When I tried to do an interior render I think I ended up using a translucent material for the leaves and tweak the settings. But can see if I can still find that model.

If you make the leaves from a translucent material they already appear less solid since it will be darker where leaves overlap. Maybe @maura.frost can organise a render a plant challenge once, I think they are always difficult and it will be interesting to see what solutions people find for nice renders. Not really a average subject to render using KS but some green can do well as prop

Great idea, @oscar.rottink ! :leaves:
